The
desire to be my own boss has always been in me since my undergraduate
days in college. This is because I found out that the richest men that
ever lived on earth are not the most educated e.g. the professors,
philosophers and so on. They are just entrepreneurs who started small
and make it big.
Every day, I surf the Internet to discover how to make my dreams of
becoming my own boss come true. Often times, I would type key words
that have to do with the subject matter (how to become my own boss)
into search engines and browse. The search engines would display a list
of websites that have some information about my search key words. At
times, I receive spams from similar websites. After taking the time to
visit most of these websites, this is a summary of what they often
preach. Be your own boss. Work at home. Earn three figures $ a day or
four figures $ and above per week. Get rich quick. Get out of debts.
Work 1 - 3 hours a day. Get websites that can earn you big money for
free and lots more. In addition, most of them would display expensive
cars, homes or estates; yachts and lots more, claiming these things are
all theirs.
I got attracted to all these advertisements and I made up my mind to
start working on the Internet immediately after my graduation from
college. I graduated from college in 2004 and I started joining these
sites immediately. After jumping from one website to another for almost
two years without any good thing to show from it, I concluded that all
the advertising campaigns mentioned above are nothing but scams. Below
are the reasons for my conclusion.
To start or gain access to these promoters' membership, I had to pay
some dollars. They promised me some days money back guarantee (some 30
days and some 60); but before I could conclude if they were scammers or
not, the money back guarantee period had already expired. So, there was
nothing I could do. After paying to join them, I discovered that these
companies themselves had nothing tangible to sell other than the
membership they have just sold to me.
Immediately, I joined, they started asking me to start referring more
people into the trap which has held me already. Better still they
started referring me to other websites again to sign up before I could
earn money. I got disappointed because that was never what I expected.
The consequence of signing up with these websites was devastating. I
noticed that I kept receiving volumes of e-mails per day, which I
couldn't afford to process. Most of the e-mails were unsolicited. How
do these senders have my e-mail? In the process of signing up with some
companies, which I was referred to, I was often asked to provide my
e-mail address. I guess some if not all of these websites have been
selling my e-mail address or total information to some subscribers.
I discovered that the free websites these companies give could never
earn me the type of money they earlier talked about. Why? Because,
apart from the name of my website and my contact information, I didn't
have access to use other website building tools. They knew I may not
like this website; so, they recommended a better one which I was asked
to pay for. So, can we agree that such websites that could earn me four
figure dollars are free? I also found out that the flashy cars, homes
and yacht which they claim to be theirs, were also in the website they
were trying to sell to me. The consequence of this to a novice is that
such a person would also be fooled to believe the properties are mine
too.
A particular company even asked me to pay for its membership and a fair
website (of which I've got nothing to sell or publish. So, of what use
was the website to me?). They asked me to start earning a living by
selling the same website to others. Only a novice will buy these
websites. Standard companies build their own websites; they don't buy.
So, whom would I sell to? The novice? I didn't want to engage in
fooling people by reselling this website that was not useful to me. I
knew if I didn't engage in the scam, my chance of success was slim.
Instead of being a scammer for money, I backed out.
Some of these companies (in their acclaimed "Full marketing support")
referred me to websites where I could easily market their products. On
getting there, I found out that almost every body there is selling the
same products (The "Get rich Quick Program"). So, who buys from whom?
I believed their campaign, which said I could work 1 - 3 hours and
start making money immediately to buy slick cars and beautiful homes.
But how realistic was this? From 2004 till 2006, I worked a minimum of
3 hours in this "Get rich quick Program". I found it very difficult to
pay for a rented apartment and not to talk of buying a home, slick cars
or a yacht. The reasons being that all the companies I joined were all
scammers.
This is not to say that it is not possible to be your own boss by
working at home. In fact, I have started enjoying working at home when
I discovered and joined a legitimate company for FREE. I was only
unfortunate to have patronized scammers in the past years. This results
from the fact that it is not possible for me to browse through the
entire search engines in the world to discover the very few but
reliable companies that offer home jobs.
Through perseverance and determination, I got to discover the
legitimate company, which I currently promote. I 'm my own boss; I work
at home and earn my commissions monthly. Right away, I still believe
that there are still but very few legitimate companies to join and work
with on the Internet.
In case you need some tips to finding a legitimate company to work
with, here are some. Legitimate companies are always very confident in
displaying their full contact address and physical location on their
websites. They are registered and they are always confident enough to
display their registration number anywhere and any time. Their primary
objective is to sell physical goods or render services to a large
target market. (They sell things, which are needed by so many people).
Their referral programs are only secondary to them i.e., it's not the
reason for their existence. They don't ask people to pay money to join
or have access to basic information that can make people succeed in
their referral program. (Membership is FREE). They don't compete with
their members in the market. (Joining a company, which embarks on heavy
promotion, will be at disadvantage to its members. The effect is that
members will ignorantly be competing with their host. They don't cheat
on their members. (A company, which requires that order be made through
phone or fax directly to the company, from the member's website is
cheating on that member). If not, how can such a member keep track of
his sales? They give adequate and easy payment options to facilitate
sales. They have easy and reliable pay out plan. (Commission).
Remember! It may be scam if a company assures you of making certain
amount or dollars a day by working at home. The company assures you of
getting rich quick. The company tells you that working for a little
amount of time a day is enough to get you rich. The company has nothing
else to sell apart from its referral programs. Please be wise!
Conclusion. Working at home could be lucrative if people are lucky
enough to discover and join a reputable company like the one, which I
currently promote.
